A new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles video game is currently in the works, judging by a marketing promo spotted at a recent toy industry event in the US.
As reported by NinjaPizza, a poster displayed at Toy Fair 2012 showed a list of brand activity underway surrounding Nickelodeon’s new TMNT cartoon series.
A line at the bottom read, “Cross promotions with key licensees, including [comic book publisher] IDW and Activision.”
Activision has not previously been linked with the Turtles IP. The last video game outing for the franchise, middling 2009 Wii brawler Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Smash-Up, was published by Ubisoft. Prior to that, Konami was in charge.
We’ve asked the publisher for some clarification and will update should we hear back.
