The 2013 action co-op shooter PAYDAY 2 is available for free on Steam for a limited time. The game is offered completely for free and permanently linked to the claimant’s Steam account. This offer is not the typical time-limited giveaways, but rather the first 5 million keys claimed on Steam will be free. That should be plenty for most people who have yet to try out or purchase an older game. There is an actual time-limit however, as the offer is expiring on June 21 whether all 5 million keys are claimed or not.
PAYDAY 2 Ultimate Edition
The free game applies only to the base game. There are actually over 48 DLCs available for PAYDAY 2. Now those are all bundled into one package with the base game called “Ultimate Edition”. Existing owners of the game will be able to upgrade to the Ultimate Edition, with varying price options depending on their setup. All DLCs in the store are not available for download anymore so the only way to grab them is by getting the Ultimate Edition. Before that, all DLCs are actually available for 85% off leading up to the Ultimate Edition event. Fans have no excuse to not get it until now.
Whether you get the free Payday 2 or buy Payday 2 Ultimate Edition, you are qualified for the PAYDAY VR support as well which is a big bonus on top of his already generous offer.
