At the time of this review, the EXCERIA PRO N502 from Toshiba hasn’t quite made it to the UK market yet. At least not on Amazon. US readers, however, can get this amazing 256GB SDXC card for $369 from resellers. That should all change shortly as stock becomes available.
Conclusion
Memory cards sure have come a long way, but they also need to. With advances such as high-FPS recording, 3D video, and even 8K video, the bandwidth is needed. More bytes need to be written which requires a performance to match or frames will be lost. That’s where the EXCERIA PRO N502 comes into play. It has both the capacity and performance to record 8K videos.
Whether it’s access times, sequential performance, or random performance, the N502 delivers. Not only that, it easily lands at the top of our charts.
Video and Photographers aren’t the only ones who can benefit from this card. Memory-based operating systems which only load from a storage medium upon boot-up will also love this card. You can take those systems to a whole new level compared to an old card.
The bonus inclusion of the recovery software is awesome too. Accidentally deleted the wrong photo? Not to worry, there’s a good chance that you can recover it.

“Toshiba’s EXCERIA PRO N502 eliminates the speed barriers, allowing for smooth 8K video recording. It blasts to the top of the charts where it resides as the new King.”
