Toshiba Japan has this week presented a new flash drive, the TransMemory-EX, featuring impressive speeds.
The drive features a USB 3.0 interface through which you’ll reach read and write speeds of up to 220MB/s and 94MB/s respectively. When on USB 2.0, speeds will drop to 34/30 MB/s read/write.
These speeds can be reached thanks to the use of a low-power SuperSpeed USB controller. The drive measure 68.8 x 21 x 10.5 mm (LxWxH) and will be available in 32GB and 64GB capacities.
Expect to see the TransMemory-EX around February, prices haven’t been given although a report suggest that the 32GB could go for $102 and the 64GB for $150.
