Transcend introduces the complete Apple Solutions series, including the JetDrive SSD Upgrade Kit, JetDrive Lite Expansion Cards and StoreJet for Mac. The product series features fast transfer rates and large storage space while complementing the Mac’s style with their simple and elegant design.
The JetDrive SSD Upgrade kit features excellent performance over the SATA3 interface with speeds up to 560MB/s and in a wide range of capacities of up to 960GB. They’re designed to easily upgrade MacBook systems and come with the JetDrive Toolbox monitor software. Since this is a kit and not just a solid state drive, it comes with an external USB 3.0 aluminium enclosure and all the tools necessary to do the upgrade allowing you to transform the old factory installed drive into an external storage device.
JetDrive Lite Expansion Cards are aimed at MacBook Pro with Retina display and MacBook Air users. They are offered in four different models that are tailor-made to fit the profile and not stick out like a memory card. The Expansion cards come in 64GB and 128GB capacities, which would be enough to store about 60K high-resolution photos of 32-hours of 1080p video. The JetDrive Lite cards are made with MLC flash chips and have a transfer rate up to 95MB/s and come with built-in ECC and Wear-Level function to ensure a long life and reliability. The JDL is also manufactured using the COB technique, providing excellent dust and water resistance.
The StoreJet for Mac (SJM) series consists of the SJM100 and SJM300 Portable Hard Drives, and the SJM500 Portable SSD to offer a combination of storage space and fast data transfer speeds. All three drives come formatted in HFS+ and with Time Machine support for simple plug and play and the Transcend Elite software for encryption and management.
The SJM100 portable USB 3.0 hard drive meets rigorous U.S. military drop-test standards, offering maximum shock-absorption and is available with up to 2TB of storage space. The SJM300 Portable Hard Drive & SJM500 Portable Solid State Drive not only come with the USB3 connector but also a Thunderbolt as well, allowing for even more connectivity options and faster speeds. The HDD is available up to 2TB while the SSD is offered from 256GB to 1TB capacity.
