TRENDnet might mostly be known for their network devices, but that isn’t all that they do. The company has now added five new USB-C solutions to their popular USB-C product line. The five new USB-C devices allow users to expand available connections on their existing hardware without the need to purchase completely new devices.
USB-C is the newest generation of USB connectors and it is available for both USB 3.0 and 3.1. The new TRENDnet product family supports USB 3.1 and can thereby deliver up to 110Gbps throughput – twice that of USB 3.0. But it isn’t just the transfer speeds that got a boost in this latest USB generation, the power delivery also went up and it allows you to power a lot more through the USB port and without the need for external power supplies.
Pure data transfer isn’t all that USB can do, it can also provide video output through various connectors from D-Sub VGA over HDMI to DisplayPort. In the future, users will also see audio support introduced to the USB-C standard. For now, TRENDnet has a pretty complete solution available and you can check out the details on the new devices below.
