TRENDnet Announces New NVR Switch Category with High Power Capacity
Bohs Hansen / 8 years ago
TRENDnet announced the launch of their new NVR switch family and the first product in this new category is the TPE-3018L 18-Port Gigabit NVR PoE+ switch with LED display and high power capacity. There are a lot of PoE+ switches on the market, but they can quickly become limited in their power capabilities in advanced setups such as those with many IP cameras and that’s where this new 18-port switch comes into play.
The new TRENDnet TPE-3018L can deliver up to 220 watts for easy connection of up to 16 IP cameras to your NVR setup. It also features two shared (RJ45 and SFP) uplink ports that can be used for the connection to your NVR and another switch for 32 cameras. Everything is plug-and-play as this is an unmanaged switch which is everything that’s needed in the intended usage scenario. The rack mountable 1U design makes it easy to deploy and it also supports Jumbo Frames up to 10 KB which I’m sure a lot of people will appreciate.
The convenient front-panel LED can display the total power that is being used, the available power, and the power-per-port, allowing you to keep an eye on it at all times with ease.
