Triple-Fan AMD RX Vega 56 Spotted

Triple-Fan AMD RX Vega 56 Spotted

It seems AMD is working on a triple-fan version of its Radeon RX Vega 56 graphics card. The card, spotted by Toolius Tech, is quite different to the RX Vega 56 reference card we’re already familiar with. In fact, this triple-fan iteration appears to be some kind of prototype, presumably for AMD’s partners to use as a template for its own versions.

So, how do we know this is a prototype? The giveaway is the connectors visible, some of which are particular to engineering boards, rather than commercial motherboards. This RX Vega 56 also possesses both 6-pin and 8-pin connectors, a short PCB, and a huge heatsink.

Price and Availability

The AMD Radeon RX Vega 56 reference card is out next month, with an MSRP of $399. However, that price is expected to inflate by the time of the card’s release. Its big brother, the RX Vega 64, officially launched today. What becomes of the three-fan RX Vega 56 prototype above is, right now, anyone’s guess.
