Tt eSPORTS Announces Black FP Mouse With Fingerprint Sensor

It was just a matter of time before it happened and in a way, it makes perfect sense. But it was a little surprise for me to see this from Tt eSports, Thermaltake’s gaming division. Their latest gaming mouse is called the Black FP Security Gaming Mouse, or just Black FP for short, and it comes with a built-in fingerprint sensor.

The gaming mouse is a FIDO UAF certified fingerprint sensor security mouse and that should provide a strong, safe and secure password protection for your PC as that’s what the fingerprint sensor is for. It isn’t to detect who you are and load your gaming profiles automatically, if that’s what you thought. Instead, it works the same way as in those laptops and phones who already have a fingerprint sensor and it allows you to login into your operating system as well as web pages with just your fingerprint. Using the state-of-the-art 256-bit advanced encryption standard (AES), it provides users with a fast and secure passwordless experience.

The fingerprint sensor is just one feature, it is also a full gaming mouse with on-the-fly DPI adjustment and DPI indicator, red illumination lighting systems, adjustable weight system, and OMRON branded switches. The used sensor is an AVAGO 9500 with a DPI range from 100 to 5700.

The Black FP comes in a sleek matte finish that should provide comfort during gameplay and also makes it look great. Overall, it has 7 programmable buttons and it can be customized with 35 different macros across 5 profiles.

Tt eSports also revealed the pricing and it isn’t as bad as you might think. In fact, the Thermaltake Tt eSPORTS Black FP security gaming mouse is right on par with other gaming mice as it comes with a $59.99 USD MSRP.
