Performance and Comfort
The comfort of this mouse is very impressive; it has a slightly longer design than most mice which gives a bit more support for your wrist meaning you are less likely to suffer from strains after long gaming sessions. The rubber coating is very nice, it is enough to give you that extra bit of grip without feeling like your holding a tyre.
Moving onto the performance, this mouse is designed for gaming and so that is what we tested it for. During games we found it pretty good, but not exceptional. Without the extra buttons it is missing a few tricks which means you have to make extra mouse movements during games this could make a big difference. On the other hand, the simplicity of it means you aren’t going to catch a button by mistake and suddenly change the DPI settings for instance. The DPI at 1600 is a bit lacking but should be good enough for most serious gamers.
The added weights make a surprising difference; I found the mouse to be a lot more balanced when using all 3 weights as the weight on all 4 Teflon feet is the same which reduces the friction considerably. Without the weights in you will find the mouse is more willing to twist slightly instead of going straight this is very hard to notice and only became apparent when trying to draw a straight line with a freehand drawing tool but with the weights it was a lot more controlled.
I feel that the light system is a lot better than other mice I have seen, but whether it does what it says it does: Pause-break lighting system to engage the gaming atmosphere’, is very debateable indeed. In some ways I quite like it when the lighting is on, but dislike the fading on and off effect that it does and can’t quite see how this improves an atmosphere even when playing in pitch black!
