Tt eSPORTS Chao Dracco Signature Headphones Review

It’s nice to see a gaming peripherals company take a step in a new direction and explore a new area of the market. We think Tt eSPORTS have made a valiant attempt with the Dracco series, as it is certainly something different from the usual designs you would expect from a gaming company. On top of the enlightened approach, they have managed to produce a fairly decent pair of headphones that would be ideal for audio enthusiasts or anyone looking to make a bold fashion statement. They come in a fairly exotic range of colours, with the premium touches for the signature editions, which creates an air of class and wealth. The additional accessories cover all bases no matter what you are using them for and the rotating earcups would make them ideal for an amateur DJ.
It is a shame however, that the headphones didn’t produce a nice rich, deep bass, which is very important for everyone who likes the heavier kind of music, or movies that contain of explosions. On top of the disappointing audio, they were actually very uncomfortable to wear – could this be down to us possibly having a weird shaped head? Who knows, but it would have been good to see some larger ear cups and a less rigid headband, as the faux leather was actually pretty comfortable,
It could be said that the colours of the Dracco is a disadvantage, but there are many variations to choose from, and each to their own. Whilst we weren’t put off by the mix of gold and yellow, it could be deemed unpleasant to some, but very attractive to others.
Overall we would like to salute Tt eSPORTS for making an entrance into this new arena. They have produced a visually unique product that has the potential to go far once the creases have been ironed out. It feels too much like a headset as opposed to headphones, as nothing stood out and tickled our aural senses. At $109, it could be considered a bit steep for what you are getting, although people pay that sort of money for fashionable items all the time.
The Dracco Signature Edition has certainly made an impression on us despite the negativity, and we hope to see Chao brand continue to improve and expand. Whilst we would love to give the headphones an award, unfortunately we don’t have one for “Great Effort” so for now the Chao Dracco Signature will be leaving empty-handed, but again, kudos to Tt eSPORTS for a great start.
