Tt eSPORTS Poseidon Z Keyboard Review

Final Thoughts

Price

The TteSports Poseidon Z forged mechanical keyboard is available from Ttbuy in the US for $140 (approx £90). UK stock seems nonexistent right now, but that will likely change very soon, although I did see a couple of them selling new on eBay in the UK for just £80, so it may be worth shopping around.

Overview

I’m absolutely blow away by this keyboard, not only have TteSports nailed all the core aspects down perfectly, they’ve added a range of cool and innovative features that make this keyboard instantly appealing to me. The Kailh switches are superb and TteSports provide them with a very impressive 5-year warranty, so you should no issues with build quality here. The blue LED lighting looks gorgeous and even better still when you factor in the blue backplate; the two complement each other very well. The brushed aluminium top panel is gorgeous to look at and will certainly have you wanting to show off this keyboard to your friends, but it also helps make the keyboard incredibly strong.

Gaming performance is on par with any other high-end mechanical keyboard, but the addition of macro keys certainly adds to the overall usability of the keyboard, both in and outside of a gaming environment. The wrist rest is a welcome bonus too, it give you a better hand resting position for typing and will help alleviate the strain of those long gaming sessions.

The real winner here though has to be the built-in sound card. I’ve never seen this kind of feature on a keyboard before, as most keyboards simply feature audio cables to provide a pass-through from your systems audio. This solution cuts down on extra cables and gives you more connectivity options, which is no bad thing.

Pros

  • Premium-grade  built quality
  • Fully mechanical
  • Adjustable LED backlighting
  • Detachable braided cable
  • Durable kickstands
  • Two sets of macro keys with I.S.S.
  • Fn Shift function keys

Cons

  • None

“The TteSports Poseidon Z Forged offers a fully mechanical design, aluminium construction, LED backlighting, macro keys, a built-in DAC amplifier, USB hub and more. It may be expensive, but the amount of value you get in return is simply incredible and you would be a fool not to consider this for your next keyboard.”
