A Closer Look – Dracco Captain Headset

The in-line controller on the Captain is pretty limited, but it’s more than enough for quickly muting audio or making quick changes to volume without having to leave your game or use keyboard shortcuts.

The Microphone is mounted on a flexible boom, unfortunately it cannot be removed, but it can be folded up to the side of the headset when not needed thanks to a swivel mount on the side of the ear-cup.

The  headband is very well padded with a stylish black leather-like texture on one side, and a soft and breathable red mesh cloth and some foam padding on the underside.

The drivers are mounted on a swivel bracket that allows you to adjust the fit, turn them 90 degrees so they’re more comfortable when the headset is hanging around your neck or even flip them out DJ-style, while an adjustable headband will ensure a good fit for most head sizes.

All the plastics used a really nicely finished and have an almost soft-touch look to them; it really does contrast well with the black leather-like materials and the deep reds of the rest of the headset.

There is plenty of padding around the ear-cups, with a soft breathable material on both the back of the driver and the outer padding.

The microphone boom is flexible, allowing you to tweak it to find the optimum position.

Under the left ear-cup you’ll find a single 3.5mm jack input socket to hook up the detachable cable / in-line controller unit.
