TteSports Shock Pro RGB Gaming Headset Review

Final Thoughts

Price

The TteSports Shock Pro RGB headset is available now at around £45, although I have seen it closer to £40 from a few smaller retailers, so shop around for a good deal. That’s a competitive price given the features and performance, and I expect it’ll be a popular product for TteSports and those seeking affordable gaming headsets.

Overview

The latest headset from TteSports isn’t breaking any records or pushing the innovation envelope, but it never had to. When it comes to picking a headset, most people are motivated by their budget first and their requirements second. Fortunately, this headset comes in at an affordable price that’s nicely under £50. However, even at this price range, it’s still delivering multi-format support, meaning you only need one headset for your desktop, consoles, and mobile devices.

Design

The Shock Pro is a good looking headset, it’s nothing crazy, but it’s far from dull. With the lights turned off it’s fairly tidy looking and if you want to show off your colours, you can fire up the lights and their effects any time you want. The built-in microphone folds up out of the way, keeping the design looking sleek, and it’s easy to deploy when needed. Also, the black braided cable looks great too.

Performance

I was expecting this headset to sound a little weak, but it certainly wasn’t. It delivers a punchy and powerful sound that’s simply perfect for rocking out to a few albums and playing a few games on an evening. The microphone could be improved, but it’s about on par with other headset microphones in this price range.

Pros

  • Lightweight design
  • Auto-adjustment headband
  • Fold-away microphone
  • Braided cable
  • Powerful and clear drivers
  • Multi-format support
  • 256 Colour Lighting
  • On-headset controls

Cons

  • Microphone could be improved
  • Hard-wired cables
