Price
Amazing features, incredible performance… you know there’s got to be a catch right? Of course you do! The catch is that this headset comes in at a wallet breaking £249.99 and that expensive no matter what way you look at it.
Overview
Turtle Beach have knocked it out of the park once again, the Elite 800X is an absolutely stunning headset. Admittedly, it’s not the kind of headset I’m personally likely to buy, it has more features than I’ll likely ever need or use, but that’s not to say it’s not nice to have those features.
It’s expensive, but when you take into consideration exactly what you’re getting for your money, it’s more than justified. The wireless technology is flawless, the build quality is fantastic, the fit is super comfortable, it has a quick dock charging station, the latest Dolby processing, Bluetooth and mobile support, ANC and more! That’s an impressive feature set and every single one of them helps make that lofty price tag worth it.
There’s no doubt about it, this is the absolutely one of the best Xbox One headsets on the market today and short of a huge innovation in headset technology, it’s likely to remain one of the best for quite a long time. It goes knock for knock with one of my favourite headsets of all time, the Astro A50, but offers more features for the same price. If you can justify the price and want no compromise on features and usability, then the 800X is certainly the way to go.

“There are few headsets out there that come close to the 800X, it symbolises everything Turtle Beach is capable of and while you’ll feel the pain when you pay for it, you’ll be glad you did from the first time you try it out.”
