Final Thoughts

How Much Does it Cost?

I honestly feel like I’m missing something here. This is the same headset I reviewed two months ago, I’m sure of it. However, as this one is just £88.99 on Amazon, it can’t be. The Elite Pro 2 and Super Amp is phenomenal, but as £220 if you find a good deal, it’s a lot more expensive than it is without that amp. This is by far the best value high-end headset I’ve tested in a long while.

Overview

The latest headset from Turtle Beach puts a big grin on my face. It’s a great sounded headset, and one I’ve enjoyed using longer than I often do with most other headsets. I use their model from a few years ago, the Elite Pro, which was around £200 for basically the same thing. Similar drives, similar design, but overall, this new model feels more refined.

What’s New

The old Elite headset was black and orange and looks a little “gamer” for my liking. However, it still sounds superb. The new model, however, sounds a little better and looks a world better. The mostly blacked out design, and Turtle Beach still doing well to avoid the RGB trend leaves the new headset looking professional and timeless. The refinements to the ear cup adjustment/extenders, and adding an auto-adjust headband just sweeten the deal. Turtle Beach headsets have never been more comfortable.

Connections

It’ll work on just about any audio device from the last few decades. It uses a straightforward 3.5mm jack with a 4-pole connection. That means you have game audio and the microphone working on consoles, mobile devices, and similar. However, with the PC extension cable, it splits into 2 x 3.5mm 3-pole jacks, for separate headphone and microphone connections. Either way, one headset to rule all your gaming devices and more.

Should I Buy One?

You would be mad not to right now. I’m stunned at the price, and just on the sheer quality and capabilities of the drivers alone, I would recommend this headset. However, the addition of the slick design, comfortable fit, great build quality, and that exceptional price make this an essential purchase for any gamer.
