How Much Does it Cost?

The is available now for just £99.99, which isn’t cheap, but it’s certainly not expensive either given the level of build quality and features on offer here. Even more so when you consider you get absolutely massive battery life and a choice of really unique colours too. Although a nice boring black version is out there too for £79.99, and well, it’s hard to ignore the discount there given it’s the same headset.

Overview

Turtle Beach are one of the biggest, best and most consistent gaming brands out there, and while their products evolve pretty slowly, gen to gen, you can be sure to get basically the same product you know and love, but just that little bit better, making it easy to replace or upgrade every few years. Of course, this being the Stealth 600 Gen 2 MAX, it really does have some nice upgrades over previous models.

Being able to get up to 48+ hours of usage from a single charge is impressive. I honestly have no idea how long mine lasted, but it was a very long time. I charged it on a Monday and still didn’t have to charge it by the weekend, so really, top marks in that regard.

It works with the Xbox and PC wirelessly, but there is a PlayStation version out there too should you need it. However, with a 3.5mm cable, you can hook up, well basically anything, such as the Switch or an old iPod if you wanted to, so it’s pretty versatile.

The new Gen 2 Mic sounds great, I’m not sure if it sounds better than the old one, as they’re both pretty decent, but again, for chatting away on Discord and the meeting I did on Teams, nobody had anything to complain about.

The 50mm drivers are great, and if you’ve used one of the more premium Turtle Beach headsets in recent years, you know the sound you’re going to get. It handles EQ well, it has good bass, excellent clarity and is just generally all-round great for movies, music and gaming alike.

Should I Buy One?

I would damn near buy one of these just based on the colour, but then again, I see so many black/white headsets, that to me, the colour just feels so welcome in a market that’s been purely focused on RGB to add colour for so long. I loved the old version of this headset, and this one is just a little bit better. If you have the old one, keep it, but if you haven’t upgraded in a few years or you just need a new wireless headset at all, this one is a solid all-around performer.
