Turtle Beach Stealth 700 PS4 Pro Wireless Gaming Headset

Final Thoughts

Price

The Turtle Beach Stealth 700 Wireless PlayStation Gaming Headset is available now at most major retailers. It’s on Amazon for £117.99 which isn’t particularly cheap, but still fairly competitive for such a feature packed wireless gaming headset. It’s also around £35 more than the Stealth 600, which is also wireless, but again, it does pack a lot more features for your investment.

Overview

Finding the right headset for you can be a tricky task. However, with that in mind, I think most gamers would be more than happy with what the more affordable Turtle Beach 600 has to offer. Both are great headsets, but there are quite a few differences that add up, and the enthusiast at-home gamer may find more joy in the more expensive 700 series.

Why Go 700?

An extra £40 sounds like a lot, and by some measures it is. However, the extra money does give you some nice advantages, albeit ones that are subjective. The change from fabric to soft leather material for the ear padding really tightens up the sound and provides more passive noise cancellation. Add to that the ANC, and you can really game in your own world without the distractions of the world around you. The mobile app is a little clunky to change on the fly, but for tweaking your EQ profiles and pushing the best sound you can possibly find, I really can’t fault it. The headset is also a little more durable and robust looking, which always help. The only downside is slightly lower battery like vs the 600, but more features need more power, simple as that.

Gaming, Movies, and Music

This is one of their best sounding headsets, no doubt about it. At stock, it sounds pretty similar to the 600, but again, you can tweak it with the EQ and get “more”. Throwing in features like DTS Headphone really enhances and allows you to enjoy the surround and Atmos formats that many of the latest games and movies deliver. From wired to wireless, the headset always sounds great regardless of what you throw at it.

Pros

  • Glasses friendly design
  • Powerful and distortion free sound
  • Great mobile EQ features
  • Excellent wireless performance
  • On-headset controls
  • 15 hours battery life
  • Comfortable fit
  • Noise cancellation

Cons

  • Tinkering with mobile app while gaming isn’t ideal
  • PC required to upgrade firmware on headset
