Twitter Gets Even Worse As Elon Musk Introduces Rate Limits

Twitter is an all-around awful social media platform which has only been made worse since Elon Musk took over the platform. Today it has been made even worse with the introduction of temporary rate limits and block access to those without accounts.

Twitter Rate Limits

In a recent Tweet Elon Musk announced that to address data scraping and system manipulation Twitter has introduced new rate limits for its users. The limits place unverified accounts to viewing 600 posts/day, new accounts to 300/day and verified accounts to 6000/day, if this isn’t another scheme to get people to subscribe to Blue I’ll eat my shoe. On a similar note, those who don’t have accounts can no longer view tweets and are instead met with the login screen when trying to view tweets. Elon has said that this is a “temporary” measure but exactly how long isn’t clear. No idea what Elon is doing but whatever it is the people hate it.
