Apple’s iOS 6 and new iPhone 5 should have reached stores in some countries by now, where at least here in Australia I can walk down to my local telco, or electronics store and get my hands on one. But, not many apps make use of the larger 4-inch screen, but now Twitter does.
Twitter has become the latest developer to push out an optimised application for the iPhone 5, and iOS 6 just hours after Apple launched the software, and phone over the last 24 or so hours. Twitter for iOS mainly includes support for the larger screen on the iPhone 5, but also comes just days after the social network pushed out an overhauled set of features, including a Facebook-style header image for user profiles.
Twitter for iPad also went under the knife, removing the sidebar, as the social network wanted to unify the Twitter experience across multiple platforms. Not everyone is enjoying the changes, but that’s today’s world – full of #firstworldproblems.
