Twitter Has Applied Fake Blue Subscription Ticks To Various Well-Known Figures

Twitter has been adding fake blue ticks to users who haven’t actually paid for a Twitter blue subscription including many who have been critical of the subscription.
Fake Twitter Blue Ticks
With the recent removal of the legacy verification tick marks on Twitter to help people identify celebrities and other notable people, many of those people were critical of having to spend $8 for a tick which is ultimately meaningless. As it seems though, many of these people who were critical are receiving blue ticks on their account denoting them as being subscribed to Twitter Blue despite the fact that they haven’t paid a penny. One of these people was author Stephen King who claims that he hasn’t bought Twitter Blue but has received a Blue checkmark.
What is Elon Doing?
So apparently Elon has been buying the checkmarks for some of these figures as in reply to Stephen King, Musk stated “You’re welcome namaste”. These fake checkmarks are believed to be out of spite as many of the people receiving them have been critical of the system which makes them look silly for having the checkmark.
This whole checkmark fiasco is brilliant, as watching people try to justify paying $8 for a silly blue check that means nothing other than telling everyone you actually paid money to have a useless little tick on a free social media platform. Some people seem to think they’re buying FREEdom of speech, let that sink in.
