Twitter Paints ‘BlackLivesMatter’ Hashtag on its Office Wall

Twitter has made a habit out of painting political hashtags on the walls of its California offices. In the past, it has emblazoned #HeForShe, in support of gender equality, and #Ferguson, after the Michael Brown shooting, across its internal office walls. Now Twitter has unveiled #BlackLivesMatter, making clear its position on excessive use of force by US police.

The reveal of the hashtag mural coincided with a forum on diversity in tech companies, hosted by Twitter. Speakers at the event included former NAACP CEO Benjamin Todd Jealous, partners at Kapor Capital, and former Vice President Al Gore.
