Not all games are about shooting and assassinating things to bits these days. Case in point, Ubisoft just launched their new single-player experimental musical exploration game called ‘Ode’. It is a colorful, cutesy adventure with a PEGI 3 rating. How does it work exactly? Here is the official description:
Embark on a journey of pure joy, where every interaction with the environment has an immediate positive visual & aural reaction. Transform your character as you collect fallen stars and ascend through 4 fantasy worlds, revealing melodic landscapes to which you add layer upon layer of music to create a crescendo of sound and light.
What that description doesn’t say is how out of this world the landscape looks. The vibrant colors are wholesome and a nice alternative to most kids games out there. The soundtrack is also quite lovely. Unlike most kids games, this one actually can take advantage of newer technologies. Check out the system requirements below to find out if your system can run it.
The game itself does not cost much. It is only £4.49 via Uplay.
