Ubisoft is feeling generous during the holiday season as they are giving away not just one but two games for free. These are not just any crappy $10 title like some of the free Humble Bundle games. In fact these two games, although older now, are award winning titles. Understandably, these are available for free via Ubisoft’s Uplay for a limited time. Once the user adds it to their Uplay library, the games are theirs to keep forever.
The first title is World in Conflict, available from December 4 (9AM PST) through December 11 (2AM PST). It is a real time strategy game which originally came out in 2007. World in Conflict is an RTS set in an alternative history in which the Soviet Union invades the United States in the late 1980s. You play the role of an American commander tasked with marshaling air and ground units in skirmishes ranging across the U.S. This also includes the expansion pack Soviet Assault for free as well, so the battle expands beyond the American shores.
To celebrate the anniversary of Assassin’s Creed, Ubisoft is also giving away Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag. The game originally came out in 2013. It is available for free via Uplay from December 12 (6AM PST) through December 18 (2AM PST). Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag lets users play as Edward Kenway, a pirate sailing the Caribbean seas. Engage in naval combat, explore paradise isles for treasure to plunder and more.
