Ubisoft’s Day One Update to Far Cry 4 is Already Here

Far Cry 4 is out, depending on where you live, and it’ll be met with a meaty update for both consoles, and PC.

The PlayStation 4 version of the game includes a 600MB day one update, bringing it to version 1.01, while the PC version has two updates, pushing it up to version 1.2. The PC version of Far Cry 4 has received a bunch of fixes, stability improvements and performance increases, which is somewhat surprising from Ubisoft of late. The full list of patch notes can be found below.

  • Stability & Performance
    – Fixed some random crashes on all game modes
  • AI
    – Fixed various edge case animation issues
    – Fixed various edge case detection issues
    – Fixed missing VO for edge case reaction issues
  • Matchmaking, Connectivity & Replication
    – Fixed matchmaking edge case issues
    – Fixed host migration random & edge case issues
    – Fixed join-in-progress edge case issues
    – Fixed various replication issues between host and clients
    – Fixed edge case replication issues with systems
  • Menus and HUD
    – Fixed various edge case menus and pop-up overlap issues
    – Fixed Mission objectives & updates issues
    – Fixed Co-op specific pop-up updates issues
    – Fixed few localization issues (cut-off text, subtitles)
    – Fixed progression displaying 100% too early in progress tab
    – Polished tutorial images
  • Mission Tweaks (Campaign, Co-Op & Side Content)
    – Fixed various low repro walkthrough breaks
  • World & 3D
    – Fixed various texture issues
    – Deleted some rare floating objects
  • Rendering & Graphics Features (PC Only)
  • – Fixed rendering features not available under certain configurations
    – Fixed multi-monitor display issues
    – Fixed multiple visual artifacts; added SLI support
  • Inputs & Controls (PC Only)
    – Fixed mouse cursor and keyboard functionality
  • In-Game map editor
    – Fixed some graphical corruptions
    – Fixed some edge case issue with maps upload

  • Fixed crash in IGE.
  • Fixed an issue with incorrect characters in map naming.
  • Fixed screen tearing when performing a handgun takedown.
  • Fixed various controls issues

  • Fixed various localization issues
  • Fixed various Multi-GPU issues
  • Fixed various Multi-Monitor issues
  • Fixed various multiplayer issues
  • Fixed various sound issues
  • Fixed various UI issues
  • Fixed various Uplay Actions issues
  • Fixed various Uplay Rewards issues
  • Saved maps from IGE and Downloaded now can be opened in the Editor from in-game.
  • Skills, Crafting and Progress Menu now cannot be accessed in Arena.
  • The game now boot if the game folder name contains Cyrillic characters.
  • The game now boot on Korean localization.

  • Added ability to change FOV scaling.
  • Added nVidia GeForce Experience support.
  • Fixed various controls issues
  • Fixed various Graphic issues
  • Fixed various IGE issues
  • Fixed various Multi-GPU issues
  • Fixed various Multi-Monitor issues
  • Fixed various UI issues
  • Playing a map from Map Browser two times now don’t trigger an Error.
  • Skills, Crafting and Progress Menu now cannot be accessed while playing a created map.
