Tulpar are a UK based company which specialise in gaming laptops and gaming peripherals, i’ve not personally heard of them but some news has come out about this company because they are looking to get into the gaming handheld market.
Intel recently shared a photo of this new gaming handheld from Tulpar which is being showcased at the Intel Extreme Masters event which is an E-Sports tournament in Katowice Poland. The photos shared show off Tulpar’s handheld which is likely to be powered by Intel’s Core Ultra series making it the second to do so following the MSI Claw. The handheld does stand out from the crowd in terms of design, but its bright colours do make it look a bit like a children’s toy and does look a bit Razer-like.
Currently there isn’t any more information other than the photos, however VideoCardz has pointed out how this handheld does look similar to a handheld that surfaced a few months ago from Emdoor. This handheld featured an 8″ 1920×1200 display, an unspecified Intel Meteor Lake-H processor, 32GB of LPDDR5X and Windows 11. Its shape is almost identical so it appears that Tulpar may have adopted this device but given it a new paint job.
With Tulpar being a relatively unknown company, at least when compared to the other major players in the handheld market, they may struggle to gain a foothold, but more competition is very welcome especially if it’s priced competitively.
