UK Researchers – Self-Driving Cars The Brothels Of Tomorrow

If you were to ask most people what their thoughts were surrounding self-driving cars, I daresay that most of the opinions would be positive. They could potentially improve driving conditions, reduce traffic/congestion and, of course, somewhat remove the ‘human error’ factor which causes thousands of ‘dings’ every single day.

A UK research group, however, has come to a rather different opinion. In a report via CNET, the group believes that self-driving cars will, basically, result in portable brothels.

The research group has concluded that vehicles could (well, they go as far as would) be used to effectively run prostitution rings. The car can drive autonomously to the ‘customer’ who, with the occupier of negotiable morals onboard.

They even go as far to suggest that some vehicles may be pimped out with beds, mini-bars for all your creature comforts.

What Do We Think?

It’s possible, but I’d like to know what crime of lateral thinking brought up this conclusion. Admittedly, prostitution can be a major issue in parts of the world. In addition, yes, potentially, self-driving cars could play a role in that. Despite that, however, at the risk of sounding disrespectful, this just sounds like some conspiracy theorists on crack.
