Ultima Online Is Celebrating Its 18th Anniversary

Ultima Online is perhaps one of the oldest MMORPGs in existence, as it was originally launched back in 1997 by Origin Systems. As the first of its kind, this game ended up in the care of numerous developers over the years, starting off with Origin and following up with Electronic Arts, Mythic and Broadsword. Not too long ago, the game celebrated its 18th anniversary, and Broadsword marked this very special occasion by announcing the official release date of the game’s anticipated Time of Legends expansion: October 8, 2015.

“From all of us here at Broadsword we want to thank everyone for 18 wonderful years of dedication to the game that has become such a huge part of all of our lives!

The team is busy putting the finishing touches on the Time of Legends and we are pleased to announce that the next release on TC1 will be tomorrow, September 25, 2015. We are planning for an Origin/Izumo release on September 29, 2015 and if all goes well a world wide release on October 8, 2015.

Remember there is still time to take advantage of our special anniversary gift! All accounts active during August, September OR October will receive the Time of Legends completely free! Our gift to you for so many years of dedicated support!”

As for the anniversary rewards, this year players will be treated with an enchanted timepiece, masonry recipes and collectible plates. The expansion will include brand new monsters, a new land called Valley of Eodon, new recipes for gear, new artefacts, new dungeons, new skill masteries, new virtue system enhancements and a broad currency conversion system.
