Over the last year or so we have seen a rapid increase in the popularity of ultrabooks and other devices that follow similar traits in the mobile market. Being able to have full productivity is more essential and sought after these days and as a consequence lightweight, portable devices that are able to deliver most of what a standard desktop can is more crucial.
A recent report by DRAMeXchange predicted that next year we will see a 100% increase in sales in this sector and it looks like they could be all too right. Other sources also speculate that by the end of 2013 1-in-10 notebook shipments would be an ultrabook or similar device.
Hopefully this is a sign that after a year of tough sales for the manufacturers, things could be on a turn-around and we will be seeing growth across the board in all technology sectors.
