Unity Finally Responds To New Installation Fee Policy

Last week Unity unveiled a new policy to screw over developers using the software and as such received a violent response from the internet. Today Unity has released a statement apologising for the terrible move.
Unity Statement
Unity’s new policy would effectively charge developers a fee every time their game was installed, this was rightfully flamed by the internet and game developers as a terrible decision that only serves to fill the pockets of Unity’s top dogs and shareholders whilst ruining developers who already operate on tight profit margins. Today Unity has released a statement on Twitter apologising “for the confusion” and stating that they would be sharing an update on the policy in a couple of days. Its quite funny how they apologise for the “confusion” despite the fact that nobody was confused and we all saw this policy exactly how it was, a scummy move to steal money from hard-working game developers.
Hopefully, the update involves fully scrapping the policy and pretending none of this ever happened.
