There is a golden rule called ‘everything in moderation’ and overdoing something can have dire consequences. During a recent fundraising streaming marathon, one streamer left the PC for a short break and never returned.
Twitch streamer Brian Vigneault, better known under his handle Poshybrid, died during a 24-hour Wold of Tanks marathon. The 35-year old guy looks like he’s in a good physical condition and it is also unknown whether the long gaming and streaming session was to blame in regards to his passing. It is unlikely that it is, but stressing the body like that could have had an effect on something else already going on. The official’s statement is that there wasn’t any foul play going on, so it was a tragic accident. The stream was to raise money for the Make-a-wish foundation and that might have led Brian to keep going past his limits.
The streaming marathon was done to raise money for the Make-a-Wish foundation, a very worthy cause. Maybe the cause could have led Brian to keep going past his limits. Whatever might have happened is anyone’s guess right now. What we do know is that he left for a short break after 22 hours of streaming and never returned.
Vigneault’s gaming clan FAME posted a statement on its Facebook page today in tribute to the Twitch personality: “…we just can not find words to describe how sad is this moment for all of us and for sure this game will not be the same without the legend,” it reads. “Maybe the saddest lines can not really be written, and the saddest thoughts can not really be uttered.”
This is a sad story for sure and the streamer’s Twitch channel has become the place for people to go and pay tribute to him and condolences to those left behind.
