In terms of releases, October was quite the month. Between Red Dead Redemption 2, Mario Party, Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, and Forza Horizon 4, there was more than enough going around to meet the needs of every kind of gamer.
While October was good, November is looking pretty decent too. We, therefore, pick a few of the highlight for this month’s big releases!
I don’t think it’s unfair to say that (aside from TellTale Games) we’ve had to have a good Walking Dead game. Something of a pity really given how the series has been mostly excellent. It’s certainly deserved a good game. Whether this will be it or not remains to be seen. From the early previews I’ve seen, it looks to be a combination of Left 4 Dead and Dead Island, which isn’t a bad thing.
Hitman 2 is looking to be an excellent follow-up to the recent reboot of the series. With Sean Bean confirmed as being part of the roster though, I daresay more people will be curious to find out whether he will actually survive this. The chances are probably not!
Following its 2 month delay, Spyro Reignited Trilogy is finally set to release. After the controversy surrounding the originally planned version only having 1 game on the physical release, hopefully, the extra time will have allowed them to fix that and improve the game wherever possible.
At the start of the year, no one was expecting a Fallout game to release this year. In the Summer though, Bethesda decided to catch us all off guard with the official announcement of Fallout 76. While some people do have concerns over the multiplayer aspects, this is surely high on the list for many this month.
EA and Dice claim to have delayed Battlefield V to apply more improvements. We suspect it was more to do with creating a bit of a gap between itself and Call of Duty Black Ops 4. Either way, Battlefield V is due for release this month and fans of the series will surely be looking at this with a lot of interest.
Despite being a rather popular series, Darksiders has always been on the fringe of the mainstream. Hopefully, the third game will continue its tradition of fun, fast-paced, action. We will have to wait and see!
