After a pretty awesome September, we at eTeknix look ahead to October for the most anticipated gaming releases for the month. At a quick glance, October is going to be pretty sweet too.
FORZA 7 – OCTOBER 3RD
First coming up this month is likely at the top of many peoples ‘must have’. Yes, the highly anticipated gaming franchise is back and this time it’s going head to head with Project Cars 2 which release only in September.
Will Forza 7 have the goods to tempt driving fans? We at eTeknix think so.
INMATES – October 5th
Halloween is coming, you can tell because the shops are beginning to get their Christmas gear out.
Traditionally we get a scary game and this year is no exception. Sadly, there are no apparent Five Nights At Freddy’s this year, however, Inmates genuinely looks terrifying. A survivor horror set in a prison, I think you might need to play this with the lights on.
MIDDLE EARTH – SHADOW OF WAR – October 10th
The long-awaited sequel to the latest in the Lord of the Rings franchise. Middle Earth is looking pretty darn awesome. The nemesis system has apparently been re-worked (a major factor of the prequel I loved) and I can’t wait to try this out.
THE EVIL WITHIN 2 – October 13th
The Evil Within sequel sees a release on Friday the 13th. How spoopy!
Truthfully, I wasn’t a major fan of the original and I hope the sequel improves. Don’t get me wrong, I saw potential in the first, but it simply didn’t have the right hooks for me.
SOUTH PARK – THE FRACTURED BUT WHOLE – October 17th
Yeah, let’s be honest here. This is going to be awesome. While the developers might have attempted to bait us by suggesting that this wasn’t going to be offensive enough, we all know it will be. Set for release on October 17th, but surely you didn’t need reminding about that?
DESTINY 2 – October 24th
Once again us PC gamers have been left waiting, but I’m sure this will be worth it. The Destiny franchise is (hypothetically speaking) made for PC gaming and as soon as it comes to it’s rightful home the better.
WOLFENSTEIN 2 – THE NEW COLOSSUS – October 27th
Our favourite Nazi killing FPS is back and it’s looking pretty amazing. This time, switching to an American setting, will you be able to stop the Nazi’s again? If you can’t, I’m sure you’ll have a lot of blood filled fun trying.
ASSASSINS CREED – ORIGINS – October 27th
Last, and quite possibly least, comes the latest edition in the somewhat tiring franchise Assassins Creed Origins. As far as games go, I’ve lost so much so much patience with this series. I hope that this can be a return to form, but frankly, I just don’t trust Ubisoft to make a quality product anymore.
So there we have it. Are there any games on this list you’re looking forward to? Anything better you think we’ve missed? Let us know in the comments!
