US EPA Email Tells Staff To Stop Defecating In The Hallways

Every now and then a government email leaks out which can only be described as hilarious, today is one of those days. An email acquired by Govexec reveals that management at the EPA facility in Denver Colorado had to warn and threaten to discipline staff for “several incidents”. Those dubious incidents included deliberately clogging toilets and “an individual placing faeces in the hallway”. The issues might sound trivial but the management team at the EPA took the matters very seriously.
After consulting a “national expert” of workplace safety on the issue the EPA concluded that the behaviour was “very dangerous” and would “probably escalate” into other actions, that could be potentially violent. The email stated that “Management is taking this situation very seriously and will take whatever actions are necessary to identify and prosecute these individuals”. When asked about the internal incidents the EPA refused to address them directly but stated that they are committed to securing a safe workplace.
I guess I can think of better places to work…
