Valheim Patch 0.217.46 & Changelog Released

Iron Gate has just released a new title update for their smash-hit survival game Valheim. Thankfully, the update is full of fixes for the game, addressing issues with the minimap, its dungeon generation and the portals, and there’s even a full changelog for the update so you can quickly check out what’s new and changed.

One key feature is that the names of minimap cache files have been adjusted, and it now allows mountains of over 200 in height to be available on the minimap, as well as some glitching and flicking issues with map pins that were quite distracting, which have now been fixed.

The new patch also resolves the issue with smaller dungeons with worse loot being generated, and portals are no longer connected after the connecting portal was destroyed.

Finally, loading times should be greatly improved after resolving an issue with threading, meaning that waiting times are reduced while loading things into the game, and the overall asset loading system has been improved.

To get this update you will have to opt into the Steam Public Test Beta and allow the game to update, but given the range of fixes, it seems it’s worth jumping in to get this patch ASAP. Y ou can purchase Valheim on Steam here.
