Various EA Titles Will See Server Shutdowns In November & December

For those who enjoy some of EA’s older titles, you may have been disappointed with some of the game servers that have shut down in the past year including some of their sports games, Medal of Honor and several others. Unfortunately, there are still a few more shutdowns, including some heavy hitters in the coming months.
EA November/December Server Shutdowns
On EA.com you can see a list of all game servers which have been shut down in the past year, in the past and in the upcoming months most notably around November and December 2023. Server shutdowns are bad but a necessary cost-saving measure for EA especially with older titles that aren’t bringing in much traffic which has unfortunately included the old Battlefield titles 1943, Bad Company and Bad Company 2 on the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC for Bad Company 2. These games will see their servers shut down on December 8th 2023.
Crysis 3, Dead Space 2 and Fifa
On the same day, Crysis 3 on the Xbox 360, One, PS3, Steam and EA app will also be shut down, as well as Dante’s Inferno for PS3, PSP and Xbox 360, Dead Space 2 on PC, PS3 and Xbox 360. These are all unfortunate losses. Earlier on November 6th Fifa 18-21 will be shut down which isn’t much of a loss with the yearly releases the Fifa muppets keep on buying as if it’s not just a copy-pasted game.
There is also a mention of Mirror’s Edge Catalyst in an article from gamingarcade.co.uk however it doesn’t appear in EA’s list of game shutdowns.
This is all just another round of losses for gaming, but its just the way things have to go.
