ViewSonic Corp has been around since the CRT monitor days. I know I had some of their products back in the day. However, they’re still kicking around and have come back with a high-end 4K LCD IPS monitor. The new XG275D-4K comes equipped with a dual refresh rate and dual resolution function, so you can switch between a faster Full HD mode and a “slower” 4K mode to suit your needs. However, make no mistake, the refresh rate is fast in both.
ViewSonic says that with the press of a button, the ViewSonic XG275D-4K can be switched between a crazy fast 320 Hz refresh rate at Full HD 1080p. However, if you want to run the 4K then you’ll have to make do with “just” 160 Hz. I’m happy to leave my monitor at 4K 160 all day long, but I can appreciate some competitive gaming can benefit from the lower response times and input latency while running at 320 Hz.
