We have some sad news for those of you who are enjoying VTX3D’s products, as the AMD Radeon add-in board partner has just announced that it ceased all operations. Just in case you’re not familiar with this brand, though, we’ll tell you that it was a subsidiary of TUL, which also owns the acclaimed PowerColor brand. However, VTX3D mostly focused on the APAC and EMEAI markets, and most of their graphics cards impressed with a certain PowerColor signature design and decent build quality. That shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone, as both PowerColor and VTX3D manufactured their products at TUL, which is a very important PCB contract-manufacturing foundry.
Now to address the elephant in the room, VTX3D has announced that its warranty and RMA services will actually be honored by PowerColor, which means that those of you who already own VTX3D products have nothing to worry about. The brand was founded back in 2009, but since it never actually gained too much market share, at least compared to PowerColor and Club3D, TUL apparently decided to shut it down. TUL will now focus more on PowerColor, which will hopefully enjoy greater popularity as a result of VTX3D’s demise.
Have you ever owned a VTX3D graphics card, and if so, were you satisfied with its performance and reliability?
