Warhorse Studios Hits Kickstarter Target For Kingdom Come: Deliverance in 48 Hours

Earlier this week we posted an article that the developers at Warhorse Studios were seeking help in raising extra funds for their game Kingdom Come: Deliverance. The game is already in heavy development, but the team needed a way to kick things up a notch and to prove to their publishers that there was consumer demand for a realistic first person RPG such as the one they’re making, they succeeded.
Funding quickly soared over their target, the $500k / £300k they needed was raised and full development of the game has now been secured in less than two days. The Kickstarter is proving so successful that they’re still gathering funds and the pot is now well over $660k / £400k with over 12k backers.
“While we were always confident in our vision for Kingdom Come: Deliverance, we never in our wildest dreams expected a response like this,” said Game Director and Lead Designer Dan Vávra. “We’re humbled by the outpouring of support, and admittedly a bit shellshocked. We can’t thank our supporters enough. We are prepared to give everything we have to make an unforgettable game.”
Warhorse and its lead investor can now confirm that Kingdom Come: Deliverance will be funded through completion. The game is an open world AAA action-adventure RPG set for initial release in 2015. It features ground breaking graphics, realistic melee combat and is set in a realistic time period, so no mythical beasts and dragons, just some great RPG action and character based stories adventures.
Donate to the Kickstarter here if you wish to show them your support and be part of what may very well be one of the greatest RPGs ever created.
Thank you Warhorse for providing us with this information.
