Watch Dogs 2 Gets Gorgeous Nvidia GameWorks Trailer

Ubisoft has made a lot of mistakes over the year, but they are certainly learning from them and getting better as a developer. Their latest game, Watch Dogs 2, is prime example of this and with the inclusion of Nvidia’s GameWorks technology, it’s not just looking better than the original in terms of gameplay, it’s also a big step up in terms of graphics too.
Dominic Guay, Watch Dogs 2 Senior Producer, features in the video below, giving us a guided tour of the GameWorks features that have been included in the game. With support for Ansel, G-SYNC, GeForce Experience, HBAO+, HFTS, PCSS, SLI, Surround and TXAA, it pretty much has all of the acronyms that help makes modern games look great, at least for those with high-end Nvidia hardware, some of those features won’t work on AMD hardware for obvious reasons.
The biggest improvements to the game, however, are things like an uncapped framerate, 4K resolution support, FOV slider, sharpness slider, SLI and Crossfire support, and improvement to make the game more responsive and lag free, by not tying input to the frame rate.
Watch Dogs 2 launches on the 29th of November, and while Watch Dogs was a bit of a damp sponge in terms of gameplay and even graphics, it looks like Ubisoft is putting their best foot forward this time. Let’s just hope it will be enough to give us the Watch Dogs game we wanted in the first place.
