Watch Wii U Emulator CEMU Running Mario Kart 8
Peter Donnell / 8 years ago
Great news for emulation fans today, as the developers of the Wii U emulator ‘CEMU’ seem to have gotten Mario Kart 8 up and running in spectacular fashion. The game has proven to be trouble to run in the past, with seriously funky lighting issues that render the game far too bright in some areas to make it comfortably playable. Now that CEMU 1.5.3 is done, and available to all Patreon backers already, things are looking near perfect for the games emulation.
Don’t worry if you’re not a backer of the project, though, as the team say that a public release of the emulator should be available within a week, and short of going out and buying a Wii U to run the game, you’ll struggle to get to it much quicker.
So for those of you who built a kick-ass gaming PC for the living room and love having a big gaming library at your disposal of all your favourite classics, it looks like CEMU is now ready to join the emulator elite, such as ZNES, ePSXe, PCSX2, MAMA, and many more.
