After five years in development, as well as a delay that set it back from an October 2013 launch, Ubisoft’s Watch_Dogs has finally gone gold! This means the game has nothing in its path to prevent it from reaching its May 27th launch date, where it will descend on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Xbox One and of course PC.
“It’s exciting to be gold. But it’ll be more exciting when people are playing. For the fans it means that it’s true. It means there will be no such thing as another delay. But for us, it’s not done until they actually have it in their hands” said Watch_Dogs creative Director Jonathan Morin.
Ubisoft are going all out on this one, it’s one of their biggest projects to date and with no less than nine special edition being made available at retail from you to pick from, you should have no issues in finding one that is best suited to you, even if that does sound a little excessive to me.
With the whole resolution gate scandal going on in the console market right now, you can expect the new game to run at 900p on the PS4, 729P on the Xbox One and I’m told any ultra high resolution you wish for on PC, so long as you have the hardware to do so.
