Western Digital Black² Dual Drive Review

CrystalDiskMark

CrystalDiskMark is a small HDD benchmark utility for your hard drive that enables you to rapidly measure sequential and random read/write speeds.

Here are some key features of “CrystalDiskMark”:

  • Sequential reads/writes
  • Random 4KB/512KB reads/writes
  • Text copy
  • Change dialog design
  • internationalization (i18n)

HDD

SSD

Looking at CrystalDiskMark and noting the real world performance figures against those seen within ATTO, we note that there is a slight drop in the read performance compared to the figures seen previously, however this is as expected from the JMicron controller and the remainder of the read and write figures from the SSD and HDD volumes are still pretty good for a combined drive.
