Last month Apple rolled out an iPhone 14 ad showing off the new feature of being able to edit and undo messages and now in a beta update for WhatsApp, it has been discovered that WhatsApp is also trialling out this feature for iOS. A site named WABetaInfo, which is a site dedicated to revealing information about beta updates for WhatsApp revealed information on the editing of messages coming to android and desktop versions of WhatsApp months ago and now the latest beta has revealed that the same feature will now be coming to the iOS versions of WhatsApp.
Because being able to edit messages can be abused such as by someone who wants to make the recipient look bad, edited messages will be accompanied by an ‘Edited’ tag as proof that it was edited and WhatsApp will only allow messages to be edited within 15 minutes of sending them.
