White Xbox One Development Kit Has Been Revealed

The near final model of the Xbox One development kit has been revealed on twitter, it features the same exterior as the current retail model of the Xbox one and I personally think it looks absolutely fantastic.

This isn’t the first time we’ve caught a glimpse of a white Xbox One though and previous leaks of the Xbox One Development Kit as well as some insider information that I wasn’t able to share let me know that the last prototype before this model was painted like a Zebra, with unique black and white stripes on the console, this was likely in a bid to prevent leaks as the stripes were unique much in the same way QR code is, very clever of Microsoft if you ask me.

Unfortunately there are zero specifications on this model and its likely identical to a point but with double the ram of the retail model as this is often common place on a development kit as things needs to be tested before they are optimised.

“The zebra ones were also earlier devkits. We’ve gone though several revisions since the original alpha kit (giant server case) and the current one we have looks like the launch version.” said one Xbox One developers on Reddit.com.

There are a lot of fans and a lot of haters out there for the new Xbox, just like every other major product on the market but I am certain that this white edition looks far cooler than the black one, although I’m sure Microsoft will release new colour schemes in the future so there is still hope of getting hold of one that “looks” like this.

Xbox One is due to launch this November for $499 / £429.

Thank you Neowin for providing us with this information.
