Well, it looks like someone got really mad on this particular AMD Threadripper processor, so he decided to shoot it with a gun. I’ve seen my fair share of rage-related destruction, but this case is bizarre, to say the least. From what I can gather, this guy used a small caliber gun at close range, but even so, the bullet didn’t go all the way through. After taking some pictures, Reddit’s “Desecration” has decided to open a thread about it. Now everyone’s trying to figure out why he would shoot an expensive PC in the first place.
Some were quick to point out that maybe a water leak ruined the entire system. However, most AIO manufacturers usually agree to investigate any leaks and provide reimbursements. Moreover, I’d definitely remove the RAM before I’d pull the trigger, but maybe that’s just me. Overall, this sure looks like a complete waste of resources. Even if the entire setup was broken before it was shot, I’m still having a hard time looking at it.
At the time of writing, Desecration has not issued an explanation on Reddit, but we’ll definitely keep you posted if he decides to shed some light on this mystery.
