Due to unforeseen circumstances, we have had to withdraw this competition until further notice. We’re exploring options for another competition and will update as soon as possible. We apologise for the inconvenience, as this was beyond our control.
“Hamburg, October 2nd 2017
ROCCAT Games Studio regretfully announces its decision to terminate development of its tactical combat game, Sick City. In spite of a significant investment of time and energy into the game over the last years, a lukewarm response to the alpha lead to the decision.
Sick City was an incredibly ambitious project, and with such projects comes proportionate risk.
While the game was able to gather a small enthusiastic crowd of players, it failed to attract the number of players needed to keep the game and the idea of crowd driven development alive.Ultimately the game did not meet either ROCCAT or community standards and did not justify further investment. Resources have been diverted to other projects and ROCCAT Games Studio will persevere despite Sick City not amounting to the success it was hoped it would have been.
ROCCAT sincerely thanks its development team for their hard work, as well as the gamers within
the community who engaged with the project so enthusiastically.Refunds will be issued to those who bought a supporter pack, and individual e-mails with personal
thanks will be sent out in the coming days. The Sick City servers will run until the end of October.”
We’re kicking things off today with another epic competition! The awesome people at Roccat have been very kind to us and our readers yet again. Roccat is sending out three bundles of their new PC game Sick City to three lucky winners. If that wasn’t already a cool prize bundle, they’ll also be throwing in three of the brand new Roccat Kahn gaming headsets to each winner too!
That’s right, three copies of the game and three headsets to go to three lucky winners. But wait, it gets better. We’ll be giving away one Founders pack, one friend’s pack, and one collector’s pack!
A post-apocalyptic battle for ultimate domination rages in the streets of Sick City. Your faction will compete for control of Aimo, the mysterious crystalline energy source that fuels their campaigns for victory. Tactical building-to-building combat, up to 4v4 squad-based street fights and resource control all culminate in a single goal – bring the heat, and own the streets of Sick City.
