InWin’s WinBot Looks Absolutely Mental at Computex 2017

InWin WinBot
InWin has a long history of creating completely bonkers chassis designs. Every year, they step up to the plate with something even more outlandish than the last. Last year we had the robotic H-Tower in all its glory, but this year… have they gone a little bit too far?
This isn’t a chassis, it’s a bubble. This sci-fi spaceship inspired object is absolutely massive. The components almost appear to float on the inside of it. However, it gets weirder
It can see you!
The chassis has a stereo camera built in. Using facial recognition is can scan and recognise individual users. The base allows the bubble part to rotate left and right too. You simply wave your hands around like you would with a Kinect and it’ll move in response. It’s basically a little bit alive. As if that wasn’t enough…
Alexa?
It comes with voice control courtesy of the Amazon Alexa API. Say “Winbot Right” and it’ll turn right. Time for a selfie? “Winbot Cheese” and it’ll snap a picture of you.
So what now?
Honestly, we have no idea. Will this come to market? I very much doubt it. If it did, it would cost thousands and be a nightmare to produce. I think even InWin may have gone too far for InWin this time. Either way, it’s delightfully bonkers and we love it.
Would you buy one of these if it came to market? Do you think you could even comprehend how much it would even cost? Let us know in the comments.
