Microsoft is beginning to share details on its Windows 10 operating system, through its Windows Insider Program. The software giant has noted that some 1.5 million people have registered for testing, while around 450,000 people use the test builds each and every day.
Better yet, Windows 10 is actually getting more usage than the beta releases of Windows 7, Windows 8 and Windows 8.1. The company has provided some internal data to show off the usage of Windows 10 versus the previous versions of Microsoft’s infamous desktop OS, as you can see below.
“It’s terrific for us to see this, because that hardcore usage will help us fix all the rough edges and bugs,” said Microsoft’s Operating Systems Group’s Data and Fundamentals Team boss, Gabriel Aul. He continued “The reports you send us, both from automated things like crash logs and manually via the Windows Feedback app, are helping us shape the product.”
So it looks like more and more people are using the new operating system, which could see Windows 10 become much more popular than Windows 8 and Windows 8.1 did.
