Windows 10 Will Receive an Ultimate Performance Mode

Ultimate Performance is coming to workstations.
It looks like Microsoft wants to help you squeeze every little bit of performance out of your workstation. With Ultimate Performance mode in Windows 10, it will become easier to create 3D models or to perform other intensive tasks. Ultimate Performance is currently a part of a Windows 10 preview build in the Fast ring. The mode will work only if you’re running Pro for Workstations. What about High Performance, though? Well, this new mode represents a step up from High Performance, as it disables power management completely. This will completely eliminate micro-latencies in order to improve raw speed.
What about laptops or tablets?
At the time of writing, Ultimate Performance is currently user-enabled. However, some PC makers will be able to ship systems with the feature already turned on. As for laptops or tables, the mode isn’t currently available, but this might change in the near future. Other noteworthy updates in this preview include more familiar emoji. Moreover, users can now search for those emoji in multiple languages. The main purpose of this Windows 10 preview, however, remains performance. It will allow users to see just how well a workstation can perform as long as there’s nothing to hold it back.
